The Rolling Stock. . . . . . . . .

To provide the maximum interest for both viewers and operators, the layout has been based in the period from approximately 1979 - 1999. The only changes to the prototype in this period have been the replacement of the gated level crossing with full barriers, replacement of ground disk signals with coloured light signals and the demolition of the HR goods shed. Since we feel that none of the above are any more aesthetically pleasing, we have left things well alone!!

All rolling stock operation on the layout has been re-numbered, repainted, weathered or detailed in some way and now having used a digital camera for the images you see on this site, all locomotives will receive additional buffer beam detail and the removal of the tension lock coupling at one end to improve appearances further.

26 043 and 26 036 wait for the "road" with the 08 10 Inverness to Glasgow Queen Street

All locomotives are by either Lima, Hornby, Mainline or Bachmann and some are now in their 24th year of service. Coaching Stock is again from the same source and some ninety or so are available for forming the passenger trains. Freight wagons are also ready to run and from kits by Cambrian, Dapol and Parkside Dundas.
